About Us
    Bob and Luis
  • Robert Gary has been working in bakeries since he was 14 years old.  Now, more than 40 years later, he still relishes the timeless allure of being around fresh bread and baked goods. When not answering questions about his eccentric mustache, Bob is found helping customers, packaging LQBC’s award-winning baked goods and overseeing front-of-the-house activities to ensure customers have an enjoyable and positive experience.

“We work hard to make sure we stay top-tier”, Bob notes. “And while us French are famous for croissants, pastries and delicious combinations, we decided early-on that we would serve fine bistro fare without the attitude.”

    Bravo Bob, Bravo!
  • Executive Chef Luis Gonzalez expertly blends French-influenced ingredients with subtle seasonings to produce what many consider to be the finest informal bistro fare in the Valley. Luis mastered his skills working as a sous chef, including over 10 years at the Daily Grill.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s; an omelette, veal marsala or a chicken salad sandwich, your meal is going to perfectly prepared or it I will not let it appear on your plate,”

"The La Quinta Baking Company has a quaint French patisserie atmosphere, complete with espresso machine and delighful pastries. They serve up breakfast and lunch all week and have a dinner menu that changes daily. This is a great place to hang out with a cappuccino and a hot read or meet your friends for dinner. The patio seating is complete with a fountain, cobbled sidewalk and an authentic European feel." - Angela Franzer

"Good food in a relaxed, unfussy atmosphere, very pleasant outdoor area, generally quick service, if desired, otherwise easy going and certainly with a desire to please.very reasonable prices and generous portions. The bakery also seems to attract an unusually interesting mix of people and allows for social interaction with other diners but only if desired." - Randy / La Quinta

"I was staying in Indian Wells with my family for a quick getaway when we found this delightful little bistro for brunch. All I have to say is WOW. We sat outside under the palm trees and desert blue sky with the beautiful mountains coming within an arms length away from us. The spectacular scenery wasn't even the best part of our experience. We had the friendliest server, met the charismatic owner (he's straight from your imagination of a Parisian cafe owner), and had really great food. They even brought a bowl of water outside for our puppy, and crayons for the kids to draw on the traditional white butcher paper. The whole style of the restaurant itself and the atmosphere definitely make it a must visit for locals and travelers alike. Love it." - Block15
